Mr. Brian and his wife were at the Trad's market this past weekend (and so were we-hee! Hee!) we had a conversation about his recent dinner experience. I shared in his dismay as he gave an account of his observation, which went something like this: "We were at... for dinner. Looking around, there were so many people on their phones. Not talking to the ones they were with. RIGHT next to us was a table of a mother and a father and their son who must have been about 17 years old. ALL of them on their own phone. THE WHOLE TIME. I don't think they said but a few words to one another through out the WHOLE meal. I said right then that I AM determined to make sure that does NOT happen to MY FAMILY! And this (Cup Of Time) really, really could help avoid that! I have twins. One boy and one girl...you know what...give me a set of each! I'm buying it because I believe in what it stands for!" Mr. Brian received a mom/daughter and a dad/son set. They can interchange them as they see fit. Their whole family can even do it all together at the same time if they choose! Way to go Mr. Brian! We need more fathers like you: protective of who we are to become and willing to stand for things that truly matter.
Hands UP and cell phones down everybody. Talk to that person across the table- eye ball to eye ball. I challenge you Cup Of Time Nation to spend more TIME LOOKING at those you communicate with while encouraging them to LOOK at you. Eye contact changes everything! 😊👍😝 see if you were not looking - you would not have realized I even made a face at you! 😜 💖 it's catching on!
